As Gulder Ultimate Season 12 draws to a close, the race to find Akolo’s treasure gets more challenging.
It’s only a matter of time before we know who the ultimate warrior, worthy of being a craftsman, is. From over 20,000 who applied for the show, the council of elders selected 18. They spent a total of nine weeks in the jungle, but one by one, they went home because they couldn’t keep up with the demands of what it takes to be a craftsman.
During the show, four of the evicted contestants found boomerangs. The boomerang signifies a second chance where the audience votes one person back into the show.
Osasere was the first to find a boomerang just a day after the anchor, Toke Makinwa, announced it. Osas had already proved his mettle as a member of Clan Amo during the group stages, showing his strength and keen observation. His puzzle-solving skills were not the best, leading to his eviction at the first individual task.
Esitima was the next person to find a boomerang on their way back to camp after meeting at the place of the talking drum. Esitima, who seemed to struggle during the group stages as a Clan Iroko member, flourished during the individual task. Although she never finished any tasks first, she held her own right until she was evicted.
Tosin was one lucky contestant as he found his boomerang at the right moment. Who knew the day he discovered a boomerang would be the day he was evicted? Tosin is one strong contender who has stood out from the start of the show. From managing his group task to his camaraderie with the other contestants, his was a face not to forget soon.
Chidimma, who became the leading lady, had a remarkable Gulder Ultimate Search journey. It often seemed like she couldn’t keep up but proved us wrong in the nick of time. Finding a boomerang was the icing on the cake of the immense talent she had already exhibited on the show.
Each of these contestants has displayed their dedication and have shown that they are more than ready for a second shot at Akolo’s treasure. The question now is, who will you be giving that second chance?
