Bishop Dr. Chris Parsram and his team of believers at Rohi Global Ministries spent their Christmas extending a hand of generosity to over 300 slum dwellers behind the Accra Mall.

The beneficiaries which included drug addicts, alcohol abusers among others gathered at the Spectrum International School premises.  Clothes, shoes and food were distributed among them.

The message of God’s love and the gift of Jesus Christ was shared after which about 200 people gave their lives to Christ.

Bibles were distributed to everyone who received Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

A beneficiary, Comfort, was grateful for the benevolence.

“Nobody has done such a good thing for us before. We are very thankful. I am going home with so many clothes. All my children came too. God bless Bishop”, she said.

Mr. Ngago a drug addict for 3 years, said “This is the best Christmas of my life. My life will never be the same again. I have Jesus living in me now. I am very happy.”

Rohi Global Ministries has been undertaking this exercise for 8 years now.

The initiative which was initially known as ‘Feed the Community Kids Project’, is now called ‘Ministry to the Less Privileged’.

Vision bearer, Bishop Dr. Parsram noted the gesture exemplifies the love of Christ to mankind.

“Christmas is a time where we remember the greatest gift of all time, Jesus Christ. It is a season when mankind experienced great love through the act of giving.

“For God so loved the world that He gave. This is what we can also do to show others love. We gather the people and give physical gifts and the eternal gift of Christ as well,” he said.
