A search is underway for a kayaker who went missing on the Nepean River in Sydney's west.
A witness saw and heard a man yelling for help in the river at Yarramundi before he disappeared under the water at around 1.20pm today.
Emergency services were called and immediately started a search for the man.

Officers from the Hawkesbury Police Area Command, Polair and Fire and Rescue NSW are conducting a search of the area.
It appears a kayak has been located but there are no signs of the man.
