Why delay booster shots for Albertans?
Why delay boosters for all? The government of Alberta claims, incorrectly from the scientific point of view, that immunity built after two doses of a COVID vaccine wanes after six months for only some individuals. For quite a while now we have known this is simply not true. Many European countries and the U.S.A. have already expanded eligibility for a booster to all adults. It further reduces the risk of death and hospitalization, significantly helps to avoid getting even a “mild” illness, and reduces COVID transmission by up to 66 per cent.

Natural gas backs up green energy
Re. “Finally, we get some context in the Coastal GasLink saga,” David Staples, Nov. 24
Many thanks to David Staples for supplying more truth to this matter. More politically correct news reporters tend to ignore the facts, conveniently. A very irresponsible thing to do if you want to be credible. The Indigenous people want to get out of poverty and to do so takes work, initiative and determination, not taxpayers’ dollars. People from out of province should get arrested for being disruptive and go tend to their own backyard and get a real job. And the NDP should know better.
As for climate change, the work to supply natural gas is far less polluting than coal, and is good backup in case solar power and wind power fail us due to weather changes. We cannot control Mother Nature, but we can control our emissions. But the rest of the world must follow suit and that is not going to be an easy task, if in fact it can be done. As we have seen from the intense rains in B.C., the infrastructure needs to be far better planned for the unexpected. The lake in Abbotsford should never have been drained 100 years ago, but now other plans will have to be implemented to avoid future washouts. Past washouts did not teach the builders a lesson.
