A Tory MP wants the BBC to play the national anthem every night – 17 takedowns worth standing up for

To the House of Commons, where Conservative MP Andrew Rosindell cut through all the distractions to focus on the most important issue facing the country today.

That’s right, the Tory member for Romford wants the BBC to start playing the national anthem at the end of each night. Because it’s the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, obviously.

And culture secretary Nadine Dorries sounded delighted (she’s the one you might be able to hear saying: ‘Fantastic question’).
