A member of the Australian Olympic Team who tested positive for COVID-19 on arrival for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games has now tested negative.
The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) announced the development just before midnight on Sunday.
The team member had been in isolation since returning the positive PCR test result at the airport in Beijing on Sunday morning.

The second test has returned a negative result but the unnamed team member is not yet allowed to leave isolation.
"The team member will now undergo a final test tomorrow, which if again negative, will allow the member to return to their usual routine," the AOC said.
