MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A fire broke out at a Minneapolis nonprofit overnight.

Fire crews were called to the House of Charity just before 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Responders said the fire appears to have started inside, and then spread into the roof. The building is under remodel, and it’s unclear if it had a working sprinkler system.

Nobody was inside, and nobody was hurt.

House of Charity has been helping the community for more than half a century by providing food, shelter and treatment.
