Colombo, January. 17 (Xinhua): Sri Lankan Hindu devotees paid homage to cattle to mark the festival of Mattu Pongal. On the day of Mattu Pongal, people decorate cattle with silk cloth and flowers to express their gratitude for their services. Here are photos by Xinhua photographer Ajith Perera:-
