Sudanese security forces fire tear gas at protesters in Khartoum

Sudanese security forces fired tear gas on Sunday at protesters heading toward the presidential palace in the capital Khartoum, witnesses said.

Thousands rallied against the country’s October 25 military coup led by general Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.

Crackdowns on protests since then have claimed 60 lives, according to medics linked to the protest movement.
