Annie Lederman: This Philadelphia comedian has a seriously wicked resume. As well as being a regular panellist on Comedy Central’s Lights Out with David Spade, she’s the voice of Cheryl Fawkes in Grand Theft Auto V, and recently wrote and produced on Sacha Baron Cohen’s Showtime series WHO IS AMERICA? She’s also been on The Joe Rogan Experience, The Church with Joey Diaz, WTF with Marc Maron and hosts her own weekly podcast, Meanspiratio. Her comedy hits on her sometimes troubled past, including her smart choice to sober up in 2009.

Lederman is here doing four shows Friday and Saturday, and comedian Celeste Lampa headlines at the venue Sunday, PS.

Details : 7:30 p.m./9:45 p.m. Friday, 7 p.m./9:30 p.m. Saturday at The Comic Strip (Bourbon Street, WEM), $25.95

Gallery@501 openings : Not one but three shows start their runs Friday over in Sherwood Park, Lisa Matthais’ print exhibition Infinitesimal, and, both by the Fibre Art Network (FAN), For the Birds and Chromatopia. FAN is a co-op of western Canadian artists, and its artists have chosen aspects of avian life and Picasso’s blue period as inspiration for this work.

Jason Kenney’s Hot Boy Summer: The Musical : The “Fourth Wave” of Byron Martin and Simon Abbott’s hit musical starring Donovan Workun and Abby Vandenberghe has been extended and continues through Jan. 30, and just a note here that there’s been a venue change so that’s over at the Orange Hub in the west end rather than at Grindstone in Old Strathcona. Besides the deadly and hilarious satire involved here, what really makes this show worth seeing more than once is the rather infectious music and dance numbers, so catch it while you still can.
