HARVEY, Ill (CBS) –A vigil is being held in honor of the four people killed in a tragic train crash in Harvey Friday night.
Among the victims is the mother of an 8-year-old girl.
28-year-old Tieasha Rush was going to start a new job as a security guard next week.
Her family now speaking to CBS 2 after the SUV she was in smashed into a train.
She was a passenger in the Dodge Durango with three others — her friend Jada Moore and Moore’s 23-year-old son Xavier, and the driver, Jada’s friend, Jeremy Robinson.
Harvey Police say he drove through a stop arm that was down. Surveillance video shows the SUV slam into a flatbed and bursting into flames.
CSX, the company that owns the train, says the investigation is in the hands of local police.
