Nigerian Idol contestants Precious and Joel have ended their journey on season 7 of the show after their eviction on Sunday.
The judges gave the contestants a second chance to join the live shows, turning the top 10 positions for the live shows into the top 12.
They both dropped out after not amassing enough votes to keep them in the competition. IK Osakioduwa had revealed during the live shows that over 11 million people voted to keep their favourites in the competition.
On Precious’ eviction, Nigerian Idol Judge Simi shared a video of her eviction performance and mentioned that the beauty of the performance was why the judges thought she deserved a spot in the live shows.
“I could have posted any other video, but I have chosen to post Precious @preciousoki_ – especially since you all didn’t get to see her perform. I know a lot of people didn’t understand the choice of her on the top 12.
“Unfortunately, she repeatedly didn’t prove how much she deserved that spot. I was so mad when she was performing because I really wanted you all to see this. All the great contestants that haven’t made it this far still have a great opportunity to win at life, and I hope you keep supporting your faves on and off the show,” Simi said on her Instagram page.
Voting is already on, vote for your favourite contestants to keep them in the competition.
