Josh Frydenberg has decried vandals targeting his election campaign signs after they were defaced with swastikas in Melbourne.
The Federal Treasuruer said his signs had been disproportionately targeted in the electorate of Kooyong, reiterating any reference to Nazism and anti-Semitism was "completely unacceptable."
"I can only talk for what I've seen in my electorate and on one side of the road you can see my boards, which have been graffitied, defaced and vandalised in a despicable way," Mr Frydenberg said.

"I'm not just talking about blacking out a tooth or dare I say, putting hair on my head or whatever the case may be.
"I'm talking about swastikas, I'm talking about Hitler moustaches, I'm talking about the language which is completely unacceptable."
Other politicians have also been targeted by vandals.
Mr Frydenberg said he aimed to catch the perpetrators and hold them to account.
"We have engaged our own means of trying to catch these people with security controls," he said.

"Because we don't want people who are vandalising our signs to keep getting away with it."
The treasurer was asked by reporters if he condemned all anti-Semitic references and "holocaust analogies".
"It doesn't matter who's making it, it could be Katherine Deves, I call it out.
"I say it's unacceptable, I say enough is enough."
Ms Deves – who the Liberal candidate for the Sydney seat of Warringah – has come under fire for offensive social media posts about transgender people, comparing her advocacy against them competing in women's sports to taking a stand against the Nazis during the Holocaust.
