A woman is being treated in hospital for burns following a house fire in Melbourne this afternoon.
Fire Rescue Victoria says firefighters were first called to the Balmoral Place address in Melton West at 3pm after a resident called triple zero to report their house was on fire.
Firefighters said they could see a column of smoke in the vicinity of the address while en route.

When emergency services arrived, they found the single story brick home "fully involved" in fire.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly surrounded the home with an extra line protecting the threatened home next door," a FRV spokesperson said.
Around 30 firefighters battled to bring the blaze under control in under an hour.
One neighbour said the fire was eye-opening.
"I jumped out of bed and I ran outside and then all I seen is this big black smoke behind me," the neighbour said.
"It was the scariest thing I've ever seen."
The woman inside the house was transported to the Alfred hospital and treated for burns to her hands and possible smoke inhalation.
