CHICAGO (CBS)– An investigation is underway after two people were shot during a police shootout Friday morning in the Pilsen neighborhood.
Police said officers were conducting an investigatory stop shortly before 7 a.m. near 18th and Morgan streets, when there was an exchange of gunfire.
Two people were shot, but no police officers were injured. A Chicago Fire Department spokesman said two officers were taken to hospitals for shortness of breath.
Chicago Police Department spokesman Tom Ahern said persons of interest were being questioned.
