Chiké has finally released the tracklist to his highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘The Brother’s Keeper’.
The 16-track album, initially scheduled for January 28, 2022, is set to be released on August 25, 2022.
Hot off the back of the release of the album’s lead single ‘Hard To Find’ featuring Flavour, which has amassed over 1.5 million streams worldwide since its release on July 15, Chiké is making his way to creating a masterpiece as good as ‘Boo of The Booless’.
‘The Brother’s Keeper’ will feature artistes like Ycee, Azana and Flavour. For the production, Chiké works with DeeYasso, Tee-Y Mix, Killertunes, Lord Sky, Echo The Guru and more.
The album will serve as Chiké’s second studio album after his chart-topping debut album, ‘Boo of the Booless’, which bagged awards nationwide and a nomination for the 2020 Headies Album of the Year.
While speaking on what inspired his album’s title, he mentioned that he was inspired by the drastic change in his life over the past years. He has gone from chasing a dream to becoming a successful and well-known artist.
“We have flown the air like birds and swum the sea like fishes but have yet to learn the simple act of walking the earth like brothers,” he wrote on his Instagram page.
Chiké is known for his soulful songs, smooth lyrics, amazing rendition, and effective way of storytelling through music which he showed on songs like ‘Running To You’ ft Simi, ‘Roju’, ‘If You No Love and ‘Out of Love’ from his debut album ‘Boo of the Booless’.
