Colombo, July 26 (DailyMirror) – Former Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will return to the country from Singapore, Cabinet spokesman Bandula Gunewardena said today.
Singapore has granted a 14-day short-term visit pass to former president as he entered the country on a private visit on July 14, according to immigration authorities in Singapore.
Addressing the post- Cabinet media briefing, the minister said that the former President was not in hiding in Singapore.
The former President has visited Singapore after obtaining an official visa and has not sought refuge as claimed by certain reports.
