The long-time host of Big Brother Nigeria, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, has revealed what he thinks is unique about the upcoming season of Africa’s most popular reality TV show.
Ebuka, who was named NET Honours Most Popular and Most Searched Media Personality on Friday, July 1, 2022, said the live audience would be back for the seventh season.
“There are so many unique things about this season, but unfortunately, we can’t reveal them all because of Big Brother’s tradition of surprise. The two things that stand out for me are the fact that for two seasons, I’ve been very lonely in that studio. So, it’s great to have the live audience back. I can’t wait to feel the fans’ energy,” he told Netng at the BBNaija press briefing in Lagos on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
“Secondly, the Ninjas are back. We know how fun the Ninjas are and the dynamics they bring to the game. Hopefully, they can help shake up the housemates. Finally, it’s a 100 Million Naira prize: what more can one ask for?” Ebuka concluded.
The BBNaija live audience was suspended in 2020 as part of measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and was not returned for the Shine Ya Eye edition in 2021.
BBNaija season 7 promises more intellectual and physical tasks for housemates. This will justify a careful selection process that saw psychologists recruited to handpick participants that align with the goal of the show’s newest instalment.
With Pocket by Piggyvest as the headline sponsor and Flutterwave as the associate sponsor, BBN, for the first time, is working to make a diasporan coverage.
Kickstarting with a double launch show on Saturday, July 23, and Sunday, July 24, 2022, the winner will take away 100 Million Naira, which includes 50 million Naira cash and other prizes, while over 30 fans will also win 1 Million Naira each.
