Just because Boris Johnson isn’t even pretending to do his job these days, doesn’t mean Nadine Dorries has to retire to the shadows and wait for professional oblivion. In fact, she’s still out there doing everything she can for her constituents.
No, wait – she’s throwing shade at Rishi Sunak for spending a lot of money on clothes, while Liz Truss apparently goes to a shop aimed at the 5 to 13 demographic to buy earrings.
Why are we not surprised to see she’s taken her cue from the Daily Mail? It’s probably got absolutely nothing to do with rumours that Boris Johnson’s choice of successor was “Anyone but Rishi.”

It’s good to know that the people in charge of running the country are completely focused on solving the cost of living crisis, climate change, the severe understaffing of the NHS, the unacceptable backlog in the justice system and preventing human trafficking, rather than – you know – earrings.
Tweeters were every bit as scathing as Ms Dorries deserved.

I would say Nadine Dorries implying that Liz Truss should be the next prime minister because she wears cheap earrings is a new low point in this Tory leadership campaign, but there have been far too many other bleak moments to feel comfortable with that assertion.

Nadine Dorries tells Tories they should vote for Liz Truss because the woman who spent £500,000 of OUR money on private jets in three months, only spent £4.50 of HER OWN money on earrings in Claire's Accessories.
Right oh Nads. Keep going love. You're doing a fine job.

Strange Nadine but I can’t find the tweet where you admonished Boris for £20k worth of hamper food or for his stupidly priced gold wallpaper?
