The first season of The Real Housewives of Lagos ended with a bang, with Housewives sharing more than they did on camera. Every form of girl code was broken, and none of these ladies appeared to care.
Here are some of the highlights from the last episode of RHOLagos
- Chioma and Toyin’s Fashion Face-Off
At some point, we were all expecting a confrontation between the fashion queens of The Real Housewives of Lagos and the reunion show delivered.
On numerous occasions, Toyin had given signs of insecurity about the way Chioma chooses to dress or present herself, and Chioma had disclosed on multiple occasions that she was in no competition.
The petty argument escalated so much that it almost led to a physical fight. This was easily one of the most unnecessary displays of violence on the show.
2. Chioma and Carolyna’s friendship
Chioma and Carolyna’s friendship at the beginning of the season was simply goals. After they bonded over their similar interests and the seemingly ‘razz’ cast, everything went down the hill over lies and apologises.
It got messier during the reunion as they spilt the conversations they had; about other Housewives during their friendship to the parties involved.
Although Iyabo says it’s a girl thing, it isn’t.
3. Mariam and Carolyna’s Jazz Situation
It was shocking to see that Mariam had a problem with Carolyna during the reunion, especially when they had never had a confrontation.
Well, Chioma had spilt to Mariam that Carolyna said she was fetish. The situation is ironic because Chioma had told Carolyna in a scene on the show that she was the type of person not to spill her friends secrets or conversations even though they had a fight. What changed?
Mariam returns the gift she got from Carolyna while they were on good terms, and Carolyna disagrees with the fact that she said Mariam uses Jazz. According to Chioma, Carolyna had said she had to be careful with what she eats and does at Mariam’s house.
4. Iyabo Ojo and Carolyna’s Unseen Fight
We were all sad that we didn’t get to see the Iyabo Carolyna fight, but we’ve moved on. Apparently, Iyabo wanted space after Carolyna had hurt her feelings by saying she was doing too much. In which Iyabo indeed accepts that she did too much.
But she expressed that she had a right to be mad for as long as she wanted despite Carolyna’s apology – an apology most of the Housewives felt was insincere.
Carolyna cleared the air, and disclosed that she gave a heartfelt apology at that point.
