Lisi Hartfeil-Richards, 4, and Gwen Turner, 3, are friends with parents who make art, music and film in Edmonton. Artists themselves, Lisi creates maps and bug drawings, as well as papier-mâché witches and egg salad sandwiches. Gwen, meanwhile, is interested in drawing snakes, sidewalks and monsters. Their show Twig Salad, Mountain Soup at Metro Gallery (8712 109 St.) features art by the children, as well as by Parker Thiessen (Gwen’s dad) and Caitlin Richards and Joe Hartfeil (Lisi’s parents), taking cues from their offspring.
