Liz Truss has delivered her first speech as prime minister outside Downing Street and it was just as heavyweight and consequential as you’d expect.
So much so that the most memorable bit was the rain that came down before she was due to speak that led to the lectern basically being covered with a bin liner and her address (nearly) moved indoors.
Here’s what it looked like – and a few of the things people were saying about it.
Well, there it is. The picture that will go around the world. pic.twitter.com/Ysdqu6Mq9j

And it got even better when our favourite Sky News presenter, Dermot Murnaghan, said this.
‘we don’t know how long this shower is going to last”
Believe me Dermot, we have all been asking the same question about this lot for months. #LizTruss #NewPrimeMinister #PrimeMinister #truss pic.twitter.com/jc0XeDrozP

There’s no suggestion he was talking anything other than 100% about the weather, but it didn’t stop people enjoying it.
There was a shot of the Tory MPs standing in the rain and Dermot Murnaghan said: “you’ve got to wonder how long this shower will last.”

Dermot Murnaghan: "I don't know how long this shower is going to last." A bit harsh. pic.twitter.com/MTzns6aIk5

Sky News Presenter just said "not sure how long this shower is going to last"
Another two years I'm afraid.
