And it’s just as enticing and exciting as you’d expect it to be.

It’s Prof Tanja Bueltmann, chair in international history at the University of Strathclyde, picking up on Farage’s suggestion it was a ‘patriotic take on a quintessentially British drink’.
I am so sorry to have to break it to Mr Farage, but gin is a European migrant. … English distillers began making gin after ‘genever’, a Dutch juniper-flavoured liquor, came to England in the 17th century and became popular. The drink is quintessentially European.
