The queue is full; long live the queue.
Entry to join the line to see Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin has been paused for “at least six hours” after Southwark Park in London reached capacity Friday.
The line to see the queen lying in state currently stretches almost five miles, snaking through London from Westminster to Southwark Park.
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport tweeted, “Southwark Park has reached capacity. Entry will be paused for at least 6 hours. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Please do not attempt to join the queue until it reopens. Check back for further updates.”
The queen’s funeral will be held on Monday, with leaders from around the world expected to attend.
