He is the third of nine children.

Apostle had his elementary education at Obuasi St. Paul’s Anglican School and while in Form 3, he passed the Common Entrance Examination and was admitted to the Obuasi Secondary Technical School (Sec Tech) in 1977.

After a successful ‘O’ level examination in 1982, he had his two-year sixth form at Adisadel College in Cape Coast.

In 1984, he did his one-year mandatory post ‘A’ level national service at his alma mater, Obuasi Sec Tech, teaching Chemistry and General Science, till 1987 when he left to read a BSc Degree programme in Agriculture at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, completing in 1991.

He gave up teaching to become a full-time pastor in 2000. Apostle had served as an altar boy in the Anglican Church.

He accepted his grandmother’s invitation to the Bidieso Assembly of the Church of Pentecost, Obuasi where he had a real encounter with Jesus.

On Sunday 3rd August 1980, on his second visit, he responded to the altar call and gave his life to Christ. This significant step ended the deep spiritual hunger which had lasted the better part of his teenage years.

Following this encounter with the Holy Ghost, Apostle experienced rapid spiritual growth and fell in love with prayer. It is an undoubted fact that he loves to pray.

He was soon called into the leadership of the Scripture Union both at Obuasi Sec Tech and Adisadel College.

At KNUST, he became the Vice President of the Republic Hall Christian Fellowship, a Prayer Secretary and ultimately the President of the Inter-Hall Christian Fellowship (IHCF).

He holds two Master’s degrees in Biblical Studies and Divinity from SUM Theological Seminary in the USA.

Soon after his conversion, he started preaching at the morning assembly at Obuasi Sec Tech, his alma mater. He has been preaching for 41 years.

He led many crusades in senior high schools, training colleges, camp meetings and in the open air.

In 1982, Bishop George Kingsley Amoako met his God-given friends—Elder Anthony Evans Abeiku Williams and Reverend John Chap Awuah, and together they founded Youth Vanguard of Christ Ministry (YOVAC), an abiding youth ministry that has impacted thousands across the globe. During a period of intense prayer in 1986, the Lord spoke to him about entering full-time ministry.

In 1986, he attended the Morris Cerullo School of Ministry in Kumasi. Again in 1987, at the prompting of the Lord, he and his two friends championed the planting of the Obuasi chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International.

In 1996, he finally responded to God’s call by pioneering the planting of Covenant House Chapel. He was ordained as Apostle on August 20, 2011.

The church has five very vibrant branches at Haatso (Prayer House) in Accra, Odeneho Kwadaso (Berea Temple) in Kumasi and Brahabebome (Peniel Temple) in the eastern part of Obuasi and New Baakoyeden (Zoe Temple) and is nurturing several pastors in the process.

He is the immediate past Chairman of Obuasi Ministers Association (OMA).

In 1995, Apostle tied the knot with his beloved Emelia Esson, and they have been blessed with three beautiful daughters and three non-biological children
