It wasn’t until the 26th and 28th of the month that the Edmonton Oilers strung together back-to-back wins in November, but when they finally did so both wins happened in the most dramatic fashion. First they made a remarkable third period comeback from a 0-3 deficit to beat Eastern Conference finalists New York Rangers right in Madison Square Garden; then back on home ice they scored they tying goal with under 5 seconds on the clock, then went on to beat the reigning Presidents’ Trophy champions Florida Panthers early in overtime.
