A young boy has died and another has been taken to hospital after they got trapped by a garage door at a property in Melbourne's south-west.
Emergency services were called to the property on Mason Street in Newport about 7.30pm last night.
Police said one boy was treated by paramedics but later died at the scene, while the other boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

It is unclear at this stage how the children became to be caught in the garage door.
Police said the incident was not being treated as suspicious.
