Folu Storms plays one of the lead roles in the police procedural drama, where she acts as Superintendent Kelechi ‘KC’ Farasin with her partner Superintendent Danladi Dikko (Jammal Ibrahim) to fight crime as an elite member of the fictional Serious and Special Crimes Unit (SSCU) headed by its charismatic boss, Deputy Commissioner of Police Femi Biboye (William Benson).

During the Q&A session, the media personality mentioned that she chose to play this role because of how well-written the script is and how it has drawn from very real experiences and places to tell the story.

“It was a well-written script. It has a total of about six episodes, and I remember reading the script and seeing how much attention to detail it was, the cohesiveness of the story, and more importantly how real it was to where we are from in Lagos.”

According to her, that stuck with her, the film executively produced by Yinka Edwards adequately highlights crime in Lagos while showing what it takes security operatives to deal with these crimes daily.

“I was born and brought up in Lagos, and unfortunately every member of this audience has experienced crime at one point or the other at some stage. And I thought that this project so accurately highlights some of the crimes that we have heard.”

Jammal Ibrahim, a lead actor in the series also agrees as he doubles down on the fact that he has never seen anything like Crime & Justice Lagos in the Nollywood industry. ‘I literally have goosebumps’, he said.

Crime & Justice Lagos explores the activities of the fictional Serious and Special Crimes Unit (SSCU) headed by its charismatic boss, Deputy Commissioner of Police Femi Biboye (William Benson), and made up of an elite team of top detectives led by Superintendent Kelechi ‘KC’ Farasin (Folu Storms) and Superintendent Danladi Dikko (Jammal Ibrahim).
