The NHL did the Edmonton Oilers no favours with the scheduling of Thursday night’s game in Minnesota. Puck drop was barely 22 hours after Wednesday night’s late start in Chicago, the minimum interval allowable by the CBA. It was Edmonton’s third game in four nights and fourth in six, with travel after every game (from New York to Edmonton back to Chicago and on to Minnesota).
