A Perth aged care worker remains behind bars, accused of sexual crimes against older residents.

Police allege father and husband Armand Lutula Wema, 56, from Nollamara, sexually abused three elderly women.

The charges relate to two Perth aged care homes between July 2022 and January 2023.

His alleged victims were aged in their 70s to 90s, staying at care homes operated by Aegis and Ferndale in Perth's northern and eastern suburbs

He has been charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault and one count of aggravated sexual penetration without consent.

Aegis, where Wema was contracted as a carer, told 9News it was assisting officers with their inquiries.

He is due back court next month.
