Earlier today, Samsung released the Android 13 update to the Galaxy A03. Now, the company has started rolling out an update to the Galaxy F12, which brings the Android 13 and One UI 5.0 to the smartphone. The latest update for the Galaxy F12 (SM-F127G) comes with firmware version F127GXXU3CVL4. It is currently rolling out in India, which is the only country where this smartphone is sold.
The update also brings the November 2022 security patch with it, which fixes 46 security vulnerabilities. The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update offers a lot of new features, including revamped UI, new camera options, more customizability features for the lock screen, better animations, and improved overall performance.
If your Galaxy F12 hasn’t notified you about the latest update yet, you can check for the new firmware manually by going to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. If your phone still doesn’t show you any updates, you can download the firmware from our database and flash it manually.
The Galaxy F12 was launched in India in April 2022, and this is the only country where this smartphone is sold. The phone made its debut with Android 11 (One UI 3.1) onboard, and Samsung updated it to Android 12 (One UI 4.1) in August. Since the phone is supposed to get two years of OS updates, it will not get Android 14.
