The Federal Government of Nigeria has changed its official handle on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter.

Naija News understands that the official Twitter communications handle of the Nigerian government was changed from @AsoRock to @NigeriaGov.

The notification was made known via a verified Twitter handle on Wednesday, 22nd March 2023.

The notification explained that the change was necessitated in other to reflect more accurately that the handle exists on behalf of the Nigerian federal government.

The notification reads: ”Twitter Handle Change | From @AsoRock to @NigeriaGov, to more accurately reflect the fact that this handle represents, and exists on behalf of, the Federal Government of Nigeria. Thank you for following.”
