Police have made an emergency declaration and multiple streets have been locked down as officers hunt an "armed person" on the loose in Queensland.
The emergency declaration – the second within the state in as many days – was made at 10pm last night in Warwick, in the state's southeast, in response to an "unfolding situation".
Local residents living within the boundaries of Wood Street, Gore Street, Grafton Street and Dragon Street have been told to stay inside and wait for further instruction.

"Police are currently conducting emergency operations in the area and requesting members of the public and aircraft to not attend the declared location," Queensland Police said in a statement.
Yesterday, a man was found dead after a tense 10-hour stand-off with police at a home in Queensland's north, which led to police warning residents to stay inside and lock their doors.
Police said that a 50-year-old man had been found dead from self inflicted wounds at a property on Elphinstone Drive in Kirwan, near Townsville.
The man had barricaded himself inside the property about 8pm on Sunday after police responded to reports of a disturbance.
