Ghana’s all-time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan, has touted Ernest Nuamah as a player to watch in a few years to come following the latter’s performance against Algeria.
Nuamah dazzled in the Black Meteors’ Africa Cup of Nations qualifier second leg against Algeria at the Baba Yara Stadium as Ibrahim Tanko’s side earned an important victory.
The Nordsjaelland forward skipped past his marker before beating another defender and went ahead to pick out Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, whose header provided the only goal of the game with Ghana winning 2-1 on aggregate.
The goal in Kumasi was a repetition of an earlier combination between the two players as Numah assisted Issahaku during the first meeting in Annaba.
Nuamah’s performance didn’t go unnoticed as he trended on social media with Ghanaians showing him with praise.
Gyan, whose jersey number Numah wears, also acknowledged the talent of the youngster as he shared a post on Twitter on Wednesday, March 29.
Nuamah has been unplayable this season for Nordsjaelland, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in 21 games in the Danish top flight.
The 19-year-old was also included in Ghana’s provisional squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
