Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has expressed gratitude to people in the state for electing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Sheriff Oborevwori, in Saturday’s governorship election.
Naija News earlier reported that Oborevwori of the PDP polled 360,234 votes ahead of Ovie Omo-Agege of the APC who secured 240,229 votes, while the Labour Party candidate, Ken Pella, came third with 48,047 votes.
The governor attributed the party’s victory to God’s grace and asked the people to support the governor-elect in taking the state to a greater height.
He said this at a Thanksgiving Service at Government House Chapel in Asaba, shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Oborevwori as governor-elect on Monday.
