If you followed the seventh season of BBNaija, you would know how much Beauty Tukura was tipped by fans as one of the favourites to win the show. But that never happened.
She ticked all the right boxes needed for a career in showbiz. She’s perfect for TV – radiating main girl energy, smart, and highly fashionable. But two weeks into the show, she got disqualified as a result of her relationship with fellow housemate Groovy. And that was how her five-year long dream to get into the Big Brother house ended abruptly. It didn’t end there, the promising star’s disqualification also birthed one of the most epic ‘Stan wars’ in the Nigerian entertainment space.
six months after the show, Beauty has opened up about her dashed hope and healing journey in the first episode of her new show ‘My Beautyful Life’ which premiered on Africa Magic Showcase on Monday, April 17, 2023.
Here are some major highlights from the premiere episode of the show:
Beauty’s Rude Awakening
When the Ex-Beauty queen was speaking with her friend, J.M.K, who was also a BBNaija housemate, she revealed that she did not initially understand and know the amount of damage she had done to her brand image following her disqualification from the show. In her words, ‘I was in shock’.
However, soon she came to a realisation of how disappointing her actions were to her family members, friends, and fans, but she could not help but question who she was considering the fact that this was a side to her that she never thought she had. Although she seems to be dealing with it now and doing great outside of the show, it’s still a dent in her image.
She has, however found a way to deal.
Adekunle and Beauty’s Friendship
If there was a pair that no one saw coming, it would be Adekunle and Beauty, they just didn’t seem like people who would have gotten along together, but months after the Level Up season, the two of them have kept up with each other, and even sparked some dating rumours as to their closeness.
Beauty made sure to debunk the rumours as she revealed that they were just friends. Sorry shippers!
Beauty’s Style
The Netng had done a quiz on who the most stylish reality TV star was, and one name that did feel the comment section was Beauty Tukura. From her choice of hair to accessories, makeup, dresses, and overall demeanour, she screams luxury.
So when the show was premiering we expected nothing but excellent styling, and to do that she explored the expertise of Damola Adeyemi – a celebrity stylist known for styling fashionable celebrities like Sharon Ooja, Adesua Etomi, Toke Makinwa, and more.
Like the reality TV star that she is, she slayed in this episode with her confessional dress from Xtrabrideslagos, a perfect blend of glam and sexy.
