A youth detention prison guard is facing allegations she had a relationship with a teenager jailed over a crash that killed a couple and their unborn child.

Matty Field, partner Kate Leadbetter and their unborn son Miles died after a drug-affected teen driver ran a red light, collided with a two-truck and ploughed into the couple.

Earlier this week, the now 19-year-old had his ten-year sentence upheld. He was 17 at the time of the crash on Australia Day in 2021.

Allegations have now emerged the teenager was in a relationship with a female prison guard while he was incarcerated at the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre.

Sources have alleged that she was marched off the site after their relationship was made public.

Colleagues had reportedly become suspicious when the guard showed up to the teenager's court hearings.

The convicted teen has since been moved to the Borallon Training and Correctional Centre.
