Colombo, May 24: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India has announced the following tentative schedule for the 66th and 67th editions of ‘Know India Program (KIP)’
66th KIP: Tentative Dates: 30 July 2023 to 18 August 2023. Partner State: Kerala: Last Date for Online Submission 15 June 2023
67th KIP: Tentative Dates: 13 August 2023 to 01 September 2023: Partne State Maharashtra: Last Date for Online Submission: 01 July 2023.
KIP is open for Overseas Indians (excluding Non-Resident Indians) in the age group of 18-30 years who have distinguished themselves in various fields and have shown an abiding interest in India and links with India through parentage.
KIP is aimed at connecting Indian Diaspora youth all over the world with their motherland and is a three-week orientation programme which promotes awareness on different facets of life in contemporary India.
Selected participants are given insights on India’s political system, economy, society, and developments in various key sectors during the 21-day programme. Further, they are also exposed to India’s history and heritage through visits to sites of historical and cultural significance. There are separate interactions with students and professionals from various fields; and meetings and calls on senior officials and leadership during KIP. 7–10-day state visit to one or more Indian states is also a part of the programme.
90% of the return airfare shall be borne by MEA, in addition to all expenses during the programme. Interested candidates are requested to log on to www.kip.gov.in and register for the programmme before the last date.
