A year after releasing his hit rap single Dog Eat Dog, Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has featured an unlikely range of artiste on the remix of the single. The fast-rising rapper alternative singer Cruel Santino and pop singer Bella Shmurda were featured in the remix.
The remix is coming after a successful first half of the year with his viral single ‘Declan Rice’, which has become a street anthem and has amassed over 7 million streams worldwide since its release on March 24, 2023.
Dog Eat Dog II, produced by UCEE, the record producer behind TY Bello’s Shift, merged the sounds of these three different sounding artistes to create a masterpiece.
Fans are already loving the new song as one said, ‘That guitar intro at the beginning of Dog Eat Dog II was heavenly.’ Other fans were gushing about the Santi era it brought back for them, for some it was referencing his Mandy & The Jungle era and Gangsta Fear era.
Even before its release, the single had already been gaining traction, from Odumodu’s choice of artwork as he employed the old-age Nollywood poster method to Bella’s hilarious reaction to the poster and the visuals which are in the works with the help of Santi, the song is on a trajectory to doing great on the streets.
Odumodublvck is one of the pioneering voices behind Drill music in Nigeria with the artiste defining his sound as Okporoko Rhythms – a hip-hop sound that is influenced by Grime and Afrobeat.
