Guests at a gender reveal party at a Queensland beach risked their lives to try to save a woman who drowned whilst helping her own daughter.
The 51-year-old mother and her teenage daughter got into trouble in the treacherous Froggies Beach swell on the Gold Coast nearby where the party was being held on the beach.
Shoieb Fadeh, 31, who was at the party, rushed into the water to help but then had to be saved himself.

He described via an interpreter what happened.
He told 9News he didn't think the conditions would be as dangerous and felt "his soul leave his body" as he struggled in the water.
Paramedics rushed Fadeh to hospital in a serious condition.
His sister Maryam Balouch, who was holding the party, said it was "very stressful" to see her brother get into trouble.
