Heavy smoke is being blamed in at least two multi-vehicle collisions in Strathcona County.
RCMP are asking drivers to avoid travel in the area as first responders are currently dealing with at least two multi-vehicle collisions on Highway 21 near Township road 520 caused by “extremely poor” visibility in the area “due to heavy smoke from the wildfires combined with moisture in the air,” said a Friday news release.
RCMP said, they have diverted traffic on Highway 21 at Wye Road and Highway 14 due to collision on Highway 21.
Mounties are asking drivers to avoid the area and travel is not recommended at this time.
