The SprinNG Writing Fellowship started in 2018 and has produced some of the most brilliant minds in the Nigerian literary space through its intentional and standard process of teaching storytelling.

According to the Director of SprinNG, Ebukun Ogunyemi, “The fellowship, which expanded to Ghana in 2021, and South Africa this year, has paired 269 fellows with 100+ mentors between 2018 and 2023.”

During her mentorship programme, Adeyemo will focus on drama, specifically concentrating on screenwriting in Nollywood and what it takes to write a compelling story from script to screen. She’ll draw her guide mainly from her experience as a writer on hit TV shows like MTV Shuga Naija, Mnet’s Hush, PinPoint media’s Man Pikin, her work as an associate producer/writer of the first-ever Big Brother Naija documentary, and a story contributor on Nollywood’s first ever feature animation – Lady Buckitt & the Motley Mopsters.

This is the creative storyteller’s second collaboration with SprinNG – she was previously one of the judges for the society’s Women Authors Prize (SWAP) in 2022.

The mentoring process for this year is expected to run between four to six weeks. This year marks the fellowship’s seventh run.
