Asake is back! A month after the release of his chart-topping single, 2:30, the music star has released a new track ‘Amapiano’ featuring his record label boss and rapper, Olamide on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

The duo, who have previously released a track together have always been a perfect blend, but Magicsticks seals the fate of this unannounced single as its production takes a fresh approach.

With news of his sophomore album ‘Work of Art’ set to drop on Thursday, June 15, 2023, the music star will be dropping a new project barely eight months after the release of his highly acclaimed debut album ‘Mr Money With The Vibes’ which is still currently topping charts.

Yoga, 2:30, and Amapiano are all tracks featured on the forthcoming album. The album, which seems to be a more introspective album with a focus on his artistry already seems larger than his previous work.

The album art, which contained paintings from a Nigerian multimedia visual artist, Ayanfe Olarinde, has art inspired by American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, who rose to prominence in the 1980s for his neo-expressionist style – ‘raw, expressive brush strokes and a rejection of traditional composition,’ Wayne Arthur Gallery had described Neo-expressionism.

Aside from the success of his last single, 2:30, which has amassed over 40 million streams worldwide, the music star is gearing up to join the strong lineup of Nigerian artistes who have sold out the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena as the ticket for his show is currently on sale.

Whatever Asake is up to, we are ready to see his theatrical side flourish.
