Sri Lankans are also among the 1,300 pilgrims invited to perform Hajj under the special program hosted.
Sheikh Abdul Latif Al Al-Sheikh, Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs and general supervisor of the program, said the annual program reflects the Kingdom’s efforts to deepen relations with other countries.
“The generous program, which is launched every year at the expense of the Saudi government, enables thousands of Muslims from all over the world to perform Haj under an organized system that provides first-class services,” Al-Sheikh said in a statement posted on SPA.
The guests conveyed their gratitude and appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for giving them the opportunity to perform Hajj under the program, according to SPA.
Hajj is taking place between June 26 and July 1.
