I recently saw the production 9-5, at Lillian Osborne High School and I was absolutely blown away. 9-5 is a musical comedy based on the 1980 movie of the same name. It follows the story of three female office workers, Violet, Judy and Doralee, who are fed up with their sexist boss. Together, they devise a plan to take control of their own lives and get justice in the workplace. The musical features various original songs and dance numbers that help bring the story to life, and many of the songs have powerful messages about female empowerment and the audience is encouraged to stand up for what they believe in. As a result of the amazing success of the musical, it became a global phenomenon: it has been adapted into three major motion pictures, a television series, as well as a stage play. There is no doubt that it will remain a beloved classic and an inspiring tale of female strength and resilience for years to come. Read More
