It’s about to be a showdown as the highly anticipated BBNaija Level Up reunion will debut tonight, Monday June 19th, 2023. Brace yourself for a rollercoaster ride of emotions, drama and revelations as all 24 housemates reunite to confront their past, mend fences, and openly share their true feelings towards one another.
With host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, at the helm of things stirring the pot of drama, the reunion promises to be hot.
Well, we are here for everything but in anticipation of the show, check out five things we expect to go down at the reunion.
Shade and Drama
Expect some heated discussions, confrontations, and attempts to resolve past conflicts. The reunion can be a catalyst for both closure and new tensions among the cast. During the show, tensions escalated between Amaka and Phyna over allegations of betrayal. Amaka claimed that Phyna had backstabbed her by swooping in and stealing Groovy’s affection. According to Amaka, she trusted Phyna and even asked her to help her convey her romantic interest to Groovy, hoping to pursue a relationship.
However, she accused Phyna of manipulating the situation for her own benefit, influencing Groovy to choose her instead. In the midst of the intense drama, emotions ran high within the Level One house when a clash unfolded between Chichi and Adekunle. The confrontation reached a boiling point, but later, Adekunle extended an apology to Chichi, Another major conflict within the house involved Beauty, Groovy, and Chomzy, resulting in a turn of events. Beauty confronted Groovy, accusing him of cheating on her with Chomzy. The intensity of their disagreement escalated to the point where Beauty’s actions led to her disqualification from the competition.
Emotional reunions
As the housemates come together after a long time, expect to see emotional reunions filled with hugs, and heartfelt moments. They will share their experiences since the show ended, reminisce about the past, and express their gratitude for the opportunities the show brought them. The housemates will surely have quite some things to share about this. Beauty, who recently won an award for the Best Dressed category of the AMVCA 9th Edition will be sure to show her achievements off.
Surprising Revelations
Reunions are notorious for revealing unexpected secrets and behind-the-scenes stories. House mates might share shocking revelations about their experiences during the show or disclose previously unknown information about their relationships. These revelations can and will most likely lead to controversy among the housemates.
Recall how Wathoni in BBN Lockdown edition announced during the reunion that Dorathy and Brighto were having a secret affair in the house. Another case was when the truth about Ka3na and Praise’s affair finally came out. Ka3na who had earlier dismissed the allegations as an “aggressive cuddling” let the cat out, shocking the housemates, Ebuka and the viewers. We can expect the same energy in the Level Up Reunion.
Love Triangles and Entanglement
The show is set to delve into the web of love interests that emerged within the house, examining whether these relationships have endured beyond the show. Ebuka, known for his ability to “shake tables” will navigate Bella and Sheggz’s relationship, asking questions that can potentially shake the foundations of their relationship. Bella and Shegz had rocky moments in the house and they came close to breaking up. Shegz was even tagged by the viewers as a “toxic lover.”
The spotlight will also shine on the romantic relationship between Phyna and Groovy. There are quite a lot of issues that could arise from Phyna and Groovy as a result of the complexities of their relationship and the love triangles that emerged during their time in the house. There was first the Groovy and Beauty ship before Groovy and Phyna. Amaka also liked Groovy and Groovy confessed that he liked Chomzy at one point.
