Burna Boy’s new single brings a wave of nostalgia as he samples Brandy’s hit single ‘Top Of The World’ on his new single ‘Sittin On Top Of The World,’ which was released on Friday, June 2, 2023.
The single produced by Skread, a French hip-hop record producer, is Burna Boy’s first track of the year. This is following the success of his highly acclaimed 2022 album ‘Love, Damini’ with the lead single ‘Last Last’ which sampled Toni Braxton’s 2000 single, ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough.’
Speaking on the track, fans have expressed happiness over Burna’s new sound. One fan said, ‘As Usual, this new Burna Boy song was dope! The central theme of Sitting On Top Of The World is basically greatness. The song is a breath of fresh air, a new sound & era.’ While some fans agree that Burna is definitely Sittin On Top Of The World with this classic.

From the success of his stadium tour, after he sold out the 40,000-capacity La Defense Arena in Paris, the music star has continued to create new bars as to what success is for an African artiste. He is also scheduled to perform at the 80,000-capacity London Stadium on Saturday, June 3, 2023.
