It was culture’s biggest night on Sunday, June 25, 2023, as music stars across the world performed and received accolades for their contribution to the culture with their art, with Burna Boy, Tems, and Davido all making major highlights at the 2023 BET Awards.

Burna Boy won the award for Best International Act, making it the fourth time in a row the music star has won that particular category, which leads him to take the top spot as the most-awarded Nigeria artiste at the BET Awards.

After making history at the 2022 BET Awards, Tems continues her amazing run as she won the award for ‘Best Collaboration,’ alongside Future and Drake for their Grammy-winning hit single, ‘Wait For U.’

The night did not just end with these exciting wins from Nigerian stars as Davido added to the highlights with his electrifying performance. The music star, who had won the award for Best International Act at the 2018 BET Awards, performed a medley of his hit singles ‘Feel’ and ‘Unavailable’ at the award show.

Although acts like Ayra Starr, Wizkid, and Asake lost their categories, their work getting recognition at the BET Awards is enough for them to be crowned winners.
