Over the weeks, we have gotten a deeper insight into how Beauty Tukura, as a brand, handles her affairs and what she looks out for when making business decisions. In the same vein, we’ve also seen the humane side of her that shows that despite her brave front, the online trolling still gets to her.
In this episode of My Beautyful Life, Beauty speaks with a therapist as she still hasn’t come to terms with the fact that people saw her behaviour in the Big Brother house as abusive. According to her, it makes her question where that side of her came from while also refusing to believe that her actions were in any way abusive.
However, from an outsider’s point of view, we can only understand why people who watched the show had that opinion of her.
Beyond her mental health and the public perception of her, Beauty Tukura also showed us a side of herself most people did not see in the Big Brother house – The benevolent side. From her constant quest to empower her housekeeper, Chinyere, to creating fan meetings and attending events to empower and support women, Beauty seems to be very big on creating a safe and thriving environment for women around her.
In this particular episode, she does not only attend a University of Lagos pageantry event because she had the expertise as someone who became the 43rd Miss Nigeria during the pandemic, she attended to support the dreams of the young ladies that modelled.
Since the show premiered, we’ve had the opportunity to see Beauty the actor, Beauty the friend, Beauty the entrepreneur, Beauty the fashionista, and Beauty as a human being, and every side of her has made the show as intriguing as it has come to be.
Regardless of how she was first introduced to most people, she seems to have evolved. The question is will society allow her to show that she is not that person anymore? We just have to watch and see.
