A police officer has died after allegedly being dragged under a car while attempting to arrest a man in Perth last week.
Constable Anthony Woods, 28, died after the incident in Ascot in the city's east, WA Police announced on Sunday night.
"Constable Anthony Woods exemplified the values of the WA Police Force, and his memory will be forever etched in our hearts," the organisation said in a statement.

"WA Police extend heartfelt condolences to Anthony's family, colleagues and all those who knew and loved him."
Woods and his partner were trying to arrest the occupants of an allegedly stolen vehicle when the driver allegedly hit, reversed over and then dragged the officer for up to 20 metres, before pinning him under the vehicle.
A 23-year-old Belmont man, Reagan Ainsley Chown, was on Friday charged over the incident and is behind bars.
Two others in the car, a 20-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man have been released pending further investigation.
Woods' colleagues used a nearby resident's car jack to lift the car off him.
He suffered chest injuries and was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
He's the 88th Western Australian police officer to die in the line of duty. The last death in the force was November 2020.
